All I have to do is look at canned meat of any kind and my wife starts reminding me about sodium and all the other schitt they put in it…takes the fun right out of it. The way she is about that stuff you’d think the girl wants to keep me around a while longer.

I should get a few of those. Not sure where around here. No Bi-Marts nearby.

I still have a scar on my right thigh from when I used to carry a P38 on my keyring in my right front pocket. That SOB would come open every so often and rip me up!

Didn't anyone see the pull tab on front of the can? Don't need no stinken key.

I seem to remember a nasty little cut on my finger after I unrolled that strip that was wound around the key.

Those suckers were sharp!

So is the cut edge on the can- - - -and the lid! I've been sliced and diced a time or three while getting the food out of the can! Lots of corned beef from Argentina is still packed that way.

Get a P-38!

About 1 1/4" long and folds flat, I've had one in my wallet since the 80s.
Only ever opened a dozen or so cans with it, but every time I do, someone is
flabbergasted by how slick the little thing is.

I've used it a whole lot more for...whatever.
It makes a decent screwdriver in a pinch, can even angle it and do Phillips.
Makes a surprisingly decent little prybar.
Also can slip the cutter into a chainsaw bar and clean the groove, it served
that purpose last week!

Not picky about WHAT i'll eat, canned ham beats some other stuff.
Damn picky about what I like, canned ham doesn't make the list.

It's more on the list of stuff I hope to never WANT to eat.

Family Dollar, maybe. Never been in one. Haven't seen a Grocery Outlet around. In a corner of St. George I've not been in yet?

You didn’t “Read” the OP, did you

Go to Dollar General and pick up something small. On your receipt it will tell you, you get $5 off if you spend $25 the following Saturday. I go in and pick up some canned goods and try to get as close to that $25 as possible. I walk out spending only $20 and some change. I have several canned hams, Spam and salmon stocked up in the basement. Just in case. Joe Biden is about to be impeached or possibly lose the next election. That means all of our enemies have to act soon. China, Russia, North Korea, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran. You name it will never have a better chance of striking than now.

Just a bit of insurance to cover a couple of weeks should things go south in a big way.

kwg

I know,

it's a shame what happens to a fella hangin' around here with folks like you. grin

I hope to regain some of my smarts by mostly taking a break for the next few weeks.

Besides, I'd look even dumber to y'all with my left hand doing all the typing.

Oh, lots of these folks type with only one hand. For lots of reasons lol
