I bought a Load all back in the late 70s If I remember right. The 600 jr my brother and I had been using since the mid 60s moved away with him when he got married. It worked, but was not as impressed with it as the MEC. Since then I've gotten a 12 ga 600 jr, added a primer feed, gotten the 20 ga early mec back and a few years ago added a 16 ga Sizemaster. Sure wish I had sizemasters in 12 and 20. The Lee hasn't been used in years.

I just got tooled up to load shotgun as a good friend gave me 70 # of shot. He also gave me a 12 ga Load All 2, I bought a 16 and 20. If you read the instructions and watch a YouTube video or two, they work just fine. The problem with shotgun reloading is finding info on the hull.once you research the hull and what wads they need, it’s smooth sailing.

I have one and it does everything I need it to do for now. I'm about to go and dig up some wads for a box of heavy hitter ptarmiganators I'm going to load. I load about a thousand twelve gauge shells a year on mine. It does fine, it’s a squeaky summbitch though. A little Break-Free on the main spring and press handle contact points will hush it right up.

there's a tube video that shows the correct way to line up the hull for both 6 and 8 segment crimps. When you do it the way he shows ,the crimps turn out pretty good

I have a 12 and 20 Lee Load all. Used to load all my shotgun ammo with them. They worked ok if you used high quality hulls that recrimped well.

I load about 1k rounds annually on my load all. It works for the job. I would suggest taking good notes as you begin your journey. It takes a while to find the right bushing setup so if you have that noted it will be much easier. As others have stated, crimps depend on your payload. There’s a sweet spot for a great crimp. I’ve found that a small piece of dowel or a nut on the last stage can help make a better crimp. I modified mine for 2-1/2” 16 gauge loads, cutting 1-4” off the last station.

Lubricate the central square shaft with some lithium spray lube and the handle end joints. No more squeak!

I had a Lee LoadAll the last time I saw it was sitting on the curb by the trash can. Over 100,000 later with a P-W.

' I have a 1st gen Load All up in the attic somewhere. Inexpensive, slow and terrible crimps. I tried a MEC Grabber but I ended up with a Pacific (now Hornady) 366 Auto. Nice machine.

The LLA will do everything a small-volume reloader needs. Yes, there are better machines, and yes there are worse machines. Every shotshell reloaders needs a single-stage for odd, small jobs that don't need a larger (more expensive) press.
