Mornin, I'm certainly no expert but it looks like a marbles. That being said almost all manufacturers made knives with the leather handles. Someone will be along shortly that's wayyyyy more qualified than I. Nice find though!!! GWPGUY. 🐾👣🇨🇦

Leather handle, thought it was wood, but now l believe you’re right. Thanks. I destroyed the sheath. Tried to replace the stitching. The pocket that had kabar embossed tore at the rivots. I cut it off but it shortened it to the point of the blade cutting the new thread.

When sewing a leather sheath, you need a middle welt between the two outside layers or sheath to let the cutting edge ride against it and not cut the thread. Cheap sheaths often have rivets to hold sheath together when threads get cut. Just my 2 cents.

that was a fairly common design back in the day. I have one from the late thirties that was my Dad's hunting knife. Almost identical. It was made by Clauss

I can't see the text on the blade, but I'm pretty sure that is a Ka-Bar. I found a similar Kabar in an antique store at a good price a couple of years ago. Mine has a slightly longer blade. I did some research at the time and Ka-Bar made a bunch of different styles in the 1950's and 60's.
