I've been reloading 12 and 20 gauge shells for many years. All the hulls I load are one piece plastic, AA, Gold Medal, and old Remington Blue Magic. Are there one piece hulls for the 28 gauge?

Well I'm not sure! Just looked at some AA HS myt's and they have a base wad. have some Remington's around somewhere but I'd bet they have base wads too. Wish I could get those old Blue Magic's in 28ga, they were my favorite shells.
The new AA HS shells in 28ga don't load as well as I remember AA in 12 ga loading. On the up side while they aren't as nice, they still fire!

Have no problems with the new AA's. Can get 8 or 9 firing's before they are toast.

Ditto on the AA HS hull. Tops right now for reloading.

Remington STS are one piece hulls. I've seen them on the shelves now and then.

I have no issues with the new AA hulls. I load them for hunting. I don't like using my AA hunting. Because can't always find them. I like using the euro hulls for that.

I bought several large bags of Chedite 28 ga new hulls and shot cups, nary a problem in hundreds of loads. Easy, peasy to run.

I use Rem hulls and the new AA in my 28's. Never worry about losing a hull as all but one of my guns are SyS's and the one pump, I have never shot. It's a 16ga. But at the same time I don't load near as much as I use to. Wish I could get 28's in the old Blue Magic hull. I liked them even better than the old AA's.

early blue magics required the star 57 small primer. later on they went to star 97's. if you have them or desire them, be advised. the primer pockets are different.

Note on AA 28 gauge hulls.
Clay Buster wads list a different wad for AA compressed formed (CF - which are the old style) and the HS new style what you find on the store shelf today.
Love the way the AA’s reload and mostly reload them with the proper CB wad.

Love the way the AA’s reload and mostly reload them with the proper CB wad. The wads are different because the old compression formed hull is tapered inside. It is important to use the new or old style wad because of this. The new hull takes the red HS wad. Using the new wad in the old hull can drive up pressures and should be avoided. The data is different between the old and new hulls as well.

As far as reloading the 28 ga, there is the AAHS hulls, and the rest are not as good, in my experience. I have a lifetime supply of empties and load them 6-7 times and toss.
