It won't let me sign in. It ignores my old password. They sent me two new temporary passwords and neither of them work. Big problems that I guess will take a while to iron out.
OH well,

I've been through server changes on different forums. There are alway problems to work out. I'm sure with all their members & the popularity of the site, they will work through them & things will settle down.

I have been hitting Cast Boolits since my first attempt at casting 20 years ago.

Of particular interest to me has been the thread on Homebrew Black Powder:

https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?103852-My-homemade-black-powder

I made my first batch last year with help from this thread. My first try was close to GOEX.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm unable to reach cast boolits this AM.

I don't think it's just me.

Their server conversion/upgrade is ongoing evidently - a regular occurrence there. I get the impression the individual(s) who own the website started out with minimal hardware and have had to upgrade in a piecemeal manner over the years as participation has grown exponentially.

Thats what happens when you do a donation drive and use the $ on stuff other than the website. Pretty sure this has been told several times.

Yep, and one of the reasons I quit donating long ago.

I know it (probably) isn't true but I always pictured their server being a Commodore 64 sitting in a shack somewhere, powered by natives taking turns on a hand-cranked generator.

I think the CBA website has that generator!

Probably!

Still in all it's better than The Olden Days where cast bullet guys had to resort to telephones, quarterly newsletters, books (what few there are), and gasp - in person conversations to communicate knowledge. The internet does have advantages, I guess.

gnoahhh, I'm not certain. I did a lot as you did to include real letters written in longhand and did it all without having to put up with the crap on web sites. I will concede, in a heartbeat, the web is generally a lot faster and information is disseminated much quicker....but I still ain't sure that's necessarily better.
