Finally decided it was time to get after the rock chucks. Went out yesterday and shot 3-4 dozen of them with the TX200 .22 Cal. Worked beautifully as expected. Shot ranged from 10yards (a few dumb ones) out to about 50 yards. Wind was ripping at 15-25mph which made for some tough shooting.

You're shooting the Crosman HP in the TX aren't you?

Are you using a ballistic app for figuring your holdovers or shooting and making your own notes?

Any thoughts about the TX vs the R9 in regards to power, speed, weight, trigger?

Thanks!

I shoot mostly Crosman Premier HP's. They shoot great, are available, cheap and deadly.

TX vs R9 is nearly a toss up. The TX has a better trigger, weighs a bit more and is just a tad slower (610fps) ~25fps slower than my R9. But the TX is so smooth and the trigger is awesome. No flies on the Rekord trigger in the R9, but the TX is better by quite a bit. Can't really go wrong with either but I'd not trade the TX for an R9. I would trade the R9 for a TX, so I guess that tells the tale.

It's fun, but chuck season is about over. When it gets hot they go back underground until spring again.

Tasco Airgun 2-7x36. I have a 4-12x40 Airmax, but prefer a basic scope for hunting.

The TX200 is an amazing piece of engineering. I think you will enjoy it. If you want an Airmax Scope to put on it PM me.
