Nice, Paul.

I'm off on June 3 for 5 days walleye fishing with 5 buddies at one guy's cottage. Our yearly fishing get-together. Should be a blast - scotch, cigars, and I'm taking my flat top and turkey fryer to have a few cooks with. He's got a smoker and bbq there.

We'll do deer hunting in the fall, too.

Another group I hunt with drew a moose tag, so that needs a week in October, too.

Slavyanka booked a trip to Greece for late June. It's going to be busy year!

Actually, I'm editing this to call Longcorker out. I set him up with an account and he never posts here. He should be posting walleye pics just like you. He's constantly sending them to me to torment.

That all looks awesome! Great place and great fishing!

Won't get a chance for walleye until mid summer although the Ottawa river is great at this time....but I'm stocking up on bass fillets in the freezer and the tacos are doing the trick

The boy and I were out on sunday. Left early, had our limits by noon. Up a ways on the 502. Fresh eyes for supper sunday night. Yum.
It was a little windy but nothing our 16’ /30hp combo won’t handle on the smaller inland lakes.

Planning to get out chasing Walleye next Monday if the wind settles down a bit here in SE Alberta. Has been too windy to fly cast for Walleye or anything around here so far. (All I do is fly fish) Walleye and pike are both a riot on a fly rod when they are close enough to the shallows. South Saskatchewan River is only a few minutes from home so it is pretty easy to get there when the wind is good.

I tried for walleye on the North Saskatchewan a few days ago. No Walleye but I did catch and release a young Sturgeon.

Walleye my favorite game fish and great table fare as well.
Headed for last mountain lake, Saskatchewan the 15th of June. Looking forward to the trip immmensley, the Saskatchewan folks are the nicest people I’ve encountered in Canada.
Had a fabulous trip up there last October, didn ‘t catch that magical 30” but close a couple of times with 29 and 281/2”. Maybe this year. We catch and release everything for the most part. May keep enough for three of us to have a nice fry one night.
Looking forward to seeing old friends at Rowan ravine and making new ones.
Love Canada!!!

Bringing this back up.

Fished last week in the Kawartha Lakes region at buddy’s cottage. He was kind enough to let us use his big Legend boat, while he and another buddy puttered around in the slightly leaky 12 footer, which you see us draining in the first pic.

I think there was method to his madness because they caught a bunch out of the little boat while we struggled to get many fish in the big boat. Fish were definitely not on a strong bite but we got enough for a good feed and to bring some home.

We had plenty of fun anyway, smoked a few (dozen) cigars, drank some scotch, ate some great meals. You can see our combined collection of scotch in the last pic.

We are headed up in the morning, obviously hitting the BIG water! We chose an area with few roads, no big, named lakes and then picked 3 or 4 lakes that I HOPE we can portage the John Boat into. My thoughts are that they get little if any fishing pressure. It should be an adventure!
