Didn’t think a Walmart anywhere would have a left handed rifle let alone a Ruger 375…….

I definitely had to take a double take. If I didn't have the H&Hi probably would have left with it. I even took a picture in case folks didn't believe me

I owned one of these for two seasons, it was a good rifle. It is a wonderful cartridge. Accurate enough for any hunting use within reason for its range, but not a tack driver. Mechanically adequate, but not buttermilk smooth. Just a damn good hunting rifle excellent for its intended use.

I became 100% sold on the 375 Ruger over the 375 H&H, but built a custom left hand Mauser in 375 Ruger and sold the Ruger used for $1,000. I am sure it does not kill any better than the Ruger, but it puts a bigger smile on my face when I handle it.

Someone must of ordered that special, because I can not imagines Walmart's business model includes catering to left hand rifle enthusiasts.

I would say this is a good value for someone and definitely well worth the price.

Just bought one of these last month. Forget the name of the company it was ordered from but it cost me about $1,130. I consider it a great rough and tumble rifle capable of being beat up and working in all conditions. As long as it shoots 1.5 MOA I'll be happy. Plan is to give McMillan a call next week and find out what options they offer for stocks. The laminate stock on the rifle is set up at 13.25 inch LOP and that makes for a handy package. Quicker to shoulder a shorter rifle and easier to maneuver thru the thick stuff. And it can also be adjusted shorter or longer. My thought is the rifle could lose a little weight and hopefully the McMillan will shave off 4-6 ounces.

That rifle at Walmart is a steal at under 1K. Someone should jump on it ASAP.

Found mine at a local gun store. Real handy, quick pointing rifle. It likes 260 grain Accubonds and Partitions. Mine has a factory installed muzzle brake. Kicks about like a 3006. They are a well made rifle.

I have one of these and one of the original runs (with the grey lam stock) and wouldn't want it to lose much weight if any depending on what bullet you will be shooting. Shooting with iron sights (about 8 pound rifle) and factory Hornady 270 grain bullets, it will get your attention. The 300 grain load is outright unpleasant. Especially in t-shirt weather. The other one has a Leupold fx-II 2.5x20 in Ruger rings and the extra weight does mellow things out.

Then you will be good to go. Factory Hornaday 270's delivered 1.5" groups all day long. Through handloading, tightest groups I could get were 1.25-1.30", but velocity was on the lower side of things. This was with a stock rifle, no tweaking, no glass bedding. Iron sights were 6" low but in-line with the target at 50 yards. Never messed with getting it right, but the factory did tell me to send it in and they would fix them.

That paired with a 30 06 is all one would need to hunt the world. And that pair is remarkable how close the ballistics and ranges are between these cartridges, very similar. The Dynamic Duo!

By the way, the 375 Ruger kick has never bothered me with a correct fitting stock thumbhole stock. Not bad at all.

My early LH SS Laminate 375 very accurate bedded stock before I shot it, I liked the stock but found a Mcmillion and that's what its in 2x7 Vortex Viper scope that holds zero well. Jest do not use it much have a LH 9.3 X 62, LH 35 Whelen Imp. and a LH 338 RCM.

I should of kept my last one! It was bedded in a nice McMillan stock.

Just called McMillan a few minutes ago. They told me they no longer inlet for Rugers. Only choice would be to buy a flat top stock and take it to a gun smith for inletting. Asked if I could send the barreled action to them for inletting and they said no.
