Can't really say, its early yet but town is pretty busy and quite a few campers passed by today.

Nice, i need to go to one of those someday, wont even bring a rifle, just pen and pad with eyes open and mouth shut, learn it, go home practice it, then load up a rifle, go back and shoot it ; ]

Lots of good folks at that shoot. I bet if a guy showed up without a gun, someone would hand them 1 and let them shoot the match. I've seen that done.

Gunner get your ass up here. I got a 34" hb Montana roughrider and ammo for it 45-70 ready to roll. You could shoot it this year I pulled in Sunday nite after Big hill at baker. Don't put off tommorrow when you can getter done now. Mb

It is one of the more friendly, helpful competitions I have witnessed. Lots of good natured helpful shooters.

Thanks for the invite MB but I'm on two weeks and one day today of baby sitting a Rottweiler puppy here at the farm, old bud has a pharmaceutical degree but told .gov and everything connected to that to FOAD and instead raises pasture pigs and Rottweilers LOL, you'd like that guy, anyway, something blew up and he had to leave the country, i had to get this new surprise puppy for Wife three weeks early, i been in hell man ; ]

I will say if i ever hear some guy say my old lady aint nothing but a housewife taking care of the kids i think I'll punch him in the teeth! watching a baby is work Bud.

I'll get out there someday, have plenty of rifles i could bring too, even some Hoke rear and Distant Thunder front sights, you guys have fun.

Took a walk through the vendors today. 8# Varget for $350, 8# H4831 Short cut for $305. Nothing else of interest for me but lots more vendors to come.

Atleast 1/2 of them anyway. Looks like a new main food vendor and some other new faces.

I might go back out this afternoon and I'll check for 8208. I don't know the number of vendors but would guess around 40-50.

I don't shoot the Quigley and have no interest in shooting BPCR but am always impressed how well those guys shoot, hell at 70 I can't see well enough to shoot that course after several eye surgeries.

Always wanted to go check it out! I ran across a practice day before a shoot here in Michigan one time. Years ago. Great bunch of fellows, I didn't bring a rifle as I was headed up to the cabin to mow ect. I had read alot about the shooting, shoots. I used to get the Black Powder Cartridge Mag. A guy heard that I'd never shot at any of the Steel before he let me shoot his 45-90 I hit 2 turkeys and 3 rams, he buddy said I shot his rifle better than he did. I also spotted for another guy, guess I did good he asked Me if I'd spot for him the next day of the shoot. I wanted to but no way I could be there, that's as close as I ever got to a shoot.

Been going every year since 2006. It's the best event of its kinda in the whole country..

Didn't see any 8208 either but did buy some Remington bullets. 86 gr soft pt 25's for 25-20 use and 165 gr soft pt 32's for the 32-40, also a box of .308 180 gr WW Silvertip bullets. Not to mention 3 1/2 bags of Remington SP-16 ga 1 1/8 power piston wads for $10. Decent deals all. Mb

Competitors are bailing. With the wind today I'm going to bet that they didn't have to paint the targets much. Tough wind conditions.

I was there, they said 40-50mph. No pop ups or small tents were safe. Even heard of a camper awning that didn’t survive. Several port-cans were dumped. I shot the bucket and buffalo today, probably 25mph or more, I ended up with 27 minutes of left windage to hit the buffalo.
