For those that shoot 556 or 308's primer pockets swagging is something you have to do sometimes. I have the RCBS press mounted tool. It works very well on 308's but not as well on 556's. I recently purchased the Hornaday press tool for 556's and it works pretty good but for what it is it is expensive.

I have the RCBS swaging die, but don't like it.
I just cut the crimps with a chamfer tool on my case prep machine.

Sometimes a Dillon, sometimes a Hornady crimp cutter. The cutter is much faster.

Still use Dad's CH tool. Slow, but I process small batches.

Sometimes a Dillon, sometimes a Hornady crimp cutter. The cutter is much faster. Or the fixed RCBS military crimp cutter. No need for a chamfer after the crimp is gone with the RCBS, I tried a chamfer after using it to make sure it was gone, which is was gone, but someone advised me to do it any way. Did it with one case but couldn't tell how far the primer sat afterwards. Don't like the idea of primers at different depths.

The Hornady tool cuts and chamfers. Every pocket crimp is different, I'll retire mine and get one.
