Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I will not furnish an easy list for the Government. You all know that they monitor sites like this , so why make it easy. If, and when they show up at your door, and collect all of your guns that they find, then they bring out their list. Want to know why we did not find a 30-06, .243, or others. I have been grilled by Army intelligence, over a period of days, an it was not a fun thing. In fact if a second Lt. had wanted to lie to save himself, I would have went to prison. miles

You do know we're free to sell guns right? Most of the ones on my list I no longer own.

I know a guy like this. He lives by himself and always worried he’s being watched.

The fact is; the government isn’t capable of a mass disarmament and although people have guns and ammunition, you are not a blip on the radar screen of what the government is looking for at this time.

They simply could not start any form of door to door snooping and gun confiscation when there are so many gun owners and a Constitution to protect your individual rights.

You may think it is worse than this, but check where this has been done around the world and you will see, America isn’t what it was 50 years ago, but it isn’t that bad yet…

Hunting over 5 decades, hunting multiple states, party hunting where legal, hunting several different species of big game, and having hunted when generous bag limits were available I've been very blessed to have had the opportunities I've had. Many cartridges have been used to take only one animal before later selling or retiring the firearm just to say I had done so. Off the top of my head -

This has been very interesting to read. Don’t know if I have ever made a list before but it was more than I realized.

Good thread

Thank you! I thought it would be a good idea.

Per the comments earlier about Big Brother watching the lists we post, to make a list of the various guns one has used to take big game is hardly conclusive. Some of the guns we don't keep or never owned in the first place. Some were loaners from the guiding service while others were borrowed from family or friends. No need to worry. I think Shrapnel put it best, "The fact is; the government isn’t capable of a mass disarmament and although people have guns and ammunition, you are not a blip on the radar screen of what the government is looking for at this time.

They simply could not start any form of door to door snooping and gun confiscation when there are so many gun owners and a Constitution to protect your individual rights."

Have fun and lets keep 'em coming!

For me, they were rifles available to hand, when opportunity arose. Most of them were pigs.

Enough brass, bullets to last 3 lifetimes. Only enough power for 1 lifetime, need more primers....
