So the 18 blend is the way to go. 50% more dense than lead. It seems most manufacturers of loaded ammunition don't list the density of the shot they use. As I study I'm finding that a blend of Tungsten and steel might not be such a bad idea in the name of economy. I know that when speaking of lead a 1 oz load will tend to hold a tighter pattern than 1 1/4" and so forth. Would the same hold true of Tungsten. A 1oz load of 18 gm density Tungsten be a pretty good load? I don't hunt turkeys but we have a new nighttime coyote season in Tennessee. Shotgun only, and smaller than buckshot. I'm thinking #4 for pellet count might be the way to go in 20 gauge. Maybe 1 1/8 oz in 12? opinions? It looks like I'll have to load my own.
Thanks,
Rick
