I have been using Speer's #13 Manual since I started reloading a few years ago. In two 7-08s I currently am running 140 gr Accubonds, with mag primers and 48.5-49.0 gr W-760. I am getting excellent velocity (near 3000 fps with 24" barrel). This is Speer's recommended max load for both their 130 gr and 145 gr bullets so I figured it should be ok for a 140 gr bullet - logical, at least to me. This load is 1-2 gr higher than most others I've seen for this weight bullet - so the question is - approximately what pressure range is this load generating, and should it be dropped down? Any help would be appreciated.

140 GR. SFT SP 140 760 .284" 2.750" 43.5 2624 41,900 CUP 46.0 2791 49,500 CUP

This is from Hodgdon's website. Looks as though it is under pressure for the round. My Speer #12 lists the load for the 145gr at 49 grains max. Are you getting signs of pressure or just trying to be safe?

This forum is for the tips, questions, and comments relating to the features and use of ballistics software.

It is not for exchanging or obtaining load data.

OK, no problem, I didn't know. Thanks for the clarification.

Hmmm.... When I read it, I thought it was a request for QL data.

I thought it was a request for QL data.

This forum isn't intended to be a substitute for owning QL or any other ballistics software.

It's not supposed to be where owners of ballistics software run load data for others who for whatever reason don't have their own ballistics software.

I didn't ask Rick to make me a moderator, and don't relish the "honor" but as long as I have it, I'm tempted to delete posts that go outside the intended scope of the forum.
