Is the rifle lever action or single shot? Iron sights or scope? If it is a scope, how is the check weld to the stock to see through the scope. I have heard that the Henry rifles don't work to well with a scope. I am wanting one in 360 myself.

I was at a large sporting goods store last Saturday and they had a Henry single shot in 360 buckhammer. If I hadn't bought a Browning 1885 454 last month I'd have bought it!

A local shop has one and I have fondled it numerous times. The Henry just does fit me well so it remains. I have an envelop with cash in it if CVA ever makes one

There’s the rub, if that’s a big deal for you anyway. The Henry SS is stocked for irons, as are to be honest, most traditional lever actions like M94s and 336s. I have one in .357, and tried it with a K4, which required a “chin weld”. Now it has a Romeo 5 that allows me to cheek it pretty well, with the dot appearing in the lower part of the field. I haven’t as yet checked for POI shift when held that way but think it might be possible. A riser pad helps a lot.

Very nice guns though, especially for the price. I have two, a .410 and the .357. Nice lumber on both, but the .357 is very nice.

Now only if CVA would build one with wood furniture! It would be like everything there is to love about an H&R handi but with an excellent factory trigger.

I just bought a Henry blued steel and walnut leveraction in the .360 BH, and I have installed a one piece Game Reaper brand, aluminum scope mount on it. It's available in two heights, and I went with the taller one. I mocked it up with a cheap scope, right now, waiting on a Leupold on order. But it's fine, unless you just have to have a low cheek weld on the stock. I am used to a higher cheekweld because of some other rifles, I use, so it not an issue for me. It high enough, that I don't need a hammer spur, and that was the reason for me, that and I can leave the rear sight in place if I decide to. But it's going to be just fine.

I will be mounting a minty, Leupold vari-X IIc, 2 x 7 scope on it and they have a very forgiving eye relief, so it will be just fine. It's only a 200 to 250 yard max gun, anyway.

Just an update, I received the Leupold 2 x 7 scope and mounted it on the Henry .360 Buckhammer, and I usually want to shorten the buttstock on a lot of my rifles, and I did that on this rifle too.
I also removed the iron sights completely, since I red lock tighted the screws in the scope mount anyway, so why keep the irons on it? It's not a really sleak rifle, for a leveraction, and should make a great hunting gun for 200 yard shots, anyway, maybe a little farther.

Many S.S. are of a falling block action, with a lever! Just saying!
