I found a company that sells 12ga. sabots that .50 call bullets fit into. Cabela's sells .50 cal "X-Tended Range" muzzle loader bullets (i would get the ones that have no sabots).These bulets have a polymer tip and are clamed to have little drop and vary good energy. Then i load this 450 grain bulet in the sabot and into a shot shell. This i think would just alitle more than a 1oz. slug. <P>do you think that I'm a dumb ass?<P>do you think that this may work?<P>do you think that this may fly with better ballistics than most slugs?

<br>No , I don't think its a "bad idea". Sounds possible all right , but in saying that , I hope others who have experimented some with slugs will comment.

<br>So lets see , 12 ga sabot , okay , 450 gr. muzzle loading bullet - should expand at lower velocity , okay.

<br>Now , the trick will be choosing the right powder for this endeavor. Lyman makes that huge 525 gr. slug , so maybe get a recommendation from them on powders for heavy slugs.
