The author was simply mistaken and uncareful on top of that.
He should have proofed his "article" better.
I hope you can "obtain" that Remington 700 BDL Varmint in 222 Remington they bring a premium in my neck'o the woods.

Naw 357/38 special are actually very close in designation of bullet diameter. But mathematically 6.5mm is .257 not .264, 7mm is 280 not 284. Seems quite the quandary that they cant get dimensions correct. 😳 Bore diameter is being quoted by your maths, bullet diameter is obviously larger…
