265-70 R16 (factory size)

Three weeks ago, I put a set of these on my 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4 offroad Toyota.
Just got back from a Wyoming elk trip.
Put 3,000 miles on the new tires
2,500 hiway
250 local roads
250 on dirt roads and 4X4 trails.

Noise, about the same as the factory Goodyear Wranglers.
A little more than Michelin’s, and a lot less than KO2s

Traction.
Never got in to any mud but traction was very good loose rocks, sand, silt, steep inclines, shale and ruts.
Up steep inclines on 4X4 trails covered with loose rocks and silt they never slipped once.
U turns across sage brush, grass sand and rocks, no problem

Mileage, this was the good surprise. I was expecting less than the factory tires, but it was actually 1 to 2 MPG better.

The Falkens came with a 65,000 mile warranty. I hope they last.
So far I am very happy

I sort of accidentally ended up with a set of these on our Toyota Highlander a few days ago, It’s an ‘18 and still had the original tires. I’ll be putting the winter studs on it next month and had planned to get new tires before I put the summer tires back on. We’re on a trip and the TPM light came on. 1 tire was down 8 lb so I aired it up with a portable compressor and planned to stop at the next town, Baker City, OR, and have it checked. We got to Baker and stopped at Les Schwab Tire 30 min before closing time. They pulled it off and found a crack around the inside of the tire with a bit of steel belt showing. That tire wasn’t going anywhere.
Well, the car has 19” rims and you don’t find those at just any convenience store. They did have 1 set in stock, the only 19’s they had in the store and likely the only set anyone had in town. Baker’s not a thriving metropolis with 10 tire stores lining the main drag. That 1 set happened to be these Falken Wildpeak AT’s. I had 2 choices, risk a blowout at night in the middle of nowhere or pay the $200 extra they wanted over a shop in a big town. Somehow the $200 seemed like cheap insurance. It was now 20 min to closing time and they had 3 guys watching the clock in an empty shop. I figured my best bet was take them. All 3 guys jumped on it and they had it done by closing time.
I have about 500 miles on them now. They’re loud but they run very smooth.

I'm surprised that Les didn't have an Open Range that fit. They seem popular outside of the major towns in OR.

I've been really interested in the Nokian Outpost, but the limited availability has kept me from trying them for similar reasons - none available when you need a replacement.

I put Wildpeak on my wife's Highlander. They seemed nice, but I forgot to check COO which was China for the 18". Discount Tire exchanged them for Toyo AT/III, no charge except price diff. The Wildpeak were quieter and smoother, and might have been fine. If they were Thai, I might have kept them but mostly stick to US or Japanese tires. Maybe Canada!

The19” are an odd size only used on some models. They had 6 or 8 types listed on the wall but none in stock except the Falkens. It didnt matter where they were made. We needed tires and we needed them now, today.

All my sets have been 20" and made in Thailand and were fantastic tires. My experience mirrors the OP.

No experience with them Made in China.

Wild Peak is a popular tire
I like the tread design...not too tight where it would pick up and hold stones and lugs that would hold chains.
"3 Peaks" rating, too.
They will be on my list when it's time to re-shoe the Taco.

OMG, this fking hypothetical-thinking outloud, retarded.

Here's wildpeaks plugged solid with damp dirt. They don't clear well AT ALL.

They balance like sht. As they wear, they get loud as fk. In just 2-3 years, they weather crack.

Garbage rubber, cheap overseas tires.

The "4's " will be no better.

I just put a set on and liked the Toyo AT3 I ran before this more. The Toyos are lighter and have less road noise.

Nothing hypothetical about my experience. I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Will buy again.
