What oil are you running in your ATV or Snow-go thingie for "inconvenient" weather conditions....???
ALASKA is a "HARD COUNTRY for OLDMEN". (But if you live it wide'ass open, balls'to the wall, the pedal floored, full throttle, it is a delightful place, to finally just sit-back and savor those memories while sipping Tequila).

Klotz in the injected 2 stroke and Ski Doo XPS full synthetic extreme in the 4 strokes.
We see in the -50's pretty much every year with an occasional -60 or lower. Usually stay home on those days but have got the sleds running in those temps.
I don't run traps colder than -40 very often for all the obvious reasons.
What adventures are going to lead you into -64 "inconvenient" weather?

What adventures are going to lead you into -64 "inconvenient" weather? None.......I pray. over 55 years in Alaska, and the coldest I ever experienced was -56*F that was Lake Louise on a January first. Was a huge private party the night prior, and as we watched, in just slightly over an hour the temperature raised, rapidly to 46 degrees above. We watched as the ominous black cloud from the rapidly approaching low pressure raced North from Valdez. A 102 degree temperature change in roughly 67 minutes.

Oil "weights" sure have changed over the last few decades. Our Camry hybrid specifies 0-8 weight
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Yeah, but the mechanical metals/oil/gaskets/seals temp took awhile. Skin temps don't really count.
