Headed out the door to deer camp. Maybe I will get a chance to field test the Lite Semi Skinner.

Got a call from Boise yesterday. Had a nice chat. He called to report a knife he bought from me 11 years ago really worked great in a bit of a sticky situation. Always good to have a chat with a customer/friend. Rick is the one who inspired me to do the 5" Boner and the bnt that morphed into the Michigan Slim. Thanks Tim

Well deer season has been a bust. Gotta get started back on blades and knives soon. Thanks Tim

Tim, the topic of your knives came up on FB yesterday. Kind and accurate words were said by several 'fire members. I answered a couple of PMs from folks that used to visit here often but have left the fold. I referred them to this thread.

Just seeing this thread after sending a PM. I’ll gladly get on your list for a number 2 pattern quantity of two if possible.

I got a #2 “Bob” from Mr. Olt and the more I use it, the more I like it. I’ve decided that S35VN steel is pretty nice. I opened up a nice sow and took the backstraps, then skinned and quartered a deer and was still able to shave hair off my arm! May need to order another knife one of these days😁.

Thanks Glen. Carbon fiber is cool. But cutting it will wipe out a band saw blade in an inch or so of cutting. And it sands nice with fresh belt, but it fills the air with that nasty black dust. But yeah it is cool stuff. Tim

Well that is a generous offer. I have always felt my prices were on the softer side of reasonable. But now you got me thinking of a waaaaaaay over due increase. Can't remember last time I raised prices. The steel I use has more than doubled in price in the last few years. Anyhow, no increases in sight for now. I will think on the prospect of tangling with carbon fiber again. Glen and Sam have been so good to me that it is hard to turn down their requests. If it wasn't for them, I would probably be weaving baskets.
Grind on!!!! Tim

Tim was kind enough to let me slip in a last minute addition on this year's S35VN build. Boy, I can't wait!

Any chance I could get in for a #2 or a #12?
My Michigan Slim worked pretty slick on a couple moose this year.

The Michigan slim is awesome. I've got a standard and a drop point. I'm in line for another this go around to give to a buddy. They are just a great little knife
