i am kicking the tires on a DIY float trip to the Sandy River on the Alaskan Peninsula next year for Steelhead. We would be looking at a drop off at Sandy Lake and a pick-up close to the ocean. If anyone has any intel on logistics for this potential trip, i'd be interested. We are specificaly looking for float plane service out of a local community like Perryville, Port Heiden, or Nelson Lagoon to fly us to Sandy Lake. Another need, depending on pick-up conditions could be a boat service back to Sandy Lake. Our trip will be the last week of Sept 2025. Thank you.

Perryville, Port Heiden and Nelson Lagoon are tiny communities and don't have float plane services based in them. You may want to give Lake Clark Air in skANC a call and see what they have available based in Port Alsworth.
