You read here often that people regret selling or trading a particular gun. For what reason have you done it?
Gun Shows are almost as comical as boat ramps in the Spring.

Browning BPR in .30-06. Beautiful rifle that I bought from a ‘Fire member. Missed a nice buck with it and blamed it on the rifle. Totally my fault. But at least it went to the Adirondacks to kill big bucks!

Model 70 Stainless Synthetic 7RM. Plain ol' black plastic stock. Free floated barrel, 2lb. trigger, 30lb striker spring, Lapped Leupold rings and bases, and a 3x9VariX II. Stock shortened 1/4" and Pachmayer Mag. decelerator pad. Killed my only Elk with it, a black bear and a ton of whitetails. I know who has it and he will not sell it. I have offered him basically twice what it's worth but he will not part with it. Says he's passing it to his son when his sons old enough. Damn me! What a moment of weakness.

Winchester 94AE in .356
Was my first rifle, paid for it by doing lawns and snow.
Dad had to sign for it.
When I got out of the Navy at the ripe old age of 22, I decided I "needed" a bolt gun in .300 mag.

I sold a GF mustang to buy a Ljutic Scattrergun @ Tavern prices ..... a right now spur of the moment deal. Immediately ( almost) replaced the car . But, the romance took a hit.

I had the S&W 631,651 and 63. All J frame 4" barrel, pre lock .32, 22 WMR and 22LR. still kicking myself for selling it. Also had the 686 Mountain gun pre lock. Never should have sold any of them.

MANY TIMES ! early in life when things came up. had to sell a few over the yrs either to finance another toy or pay an unexpected debt. looking bac now I would have been better off to keep the guns and gone with a small personal loan . the interest that I would have paid would have been cheaper than the difference in the value increases of the guns that I sold.

To many times to count.
Some to cover an unexpected expense, some because I was just plain tired of the gun, some because I had the hots for something else. But there are several that I wish I still owned.
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.

Sold or traded……no regrets! But, gave my teenage daughter a virtually new, scoped, Browning BL 22….bought at a time when money was very tight.
Years later she and her husband traded it for some POS 22 that I wouldn’t want to be seen with! Not forgotten nor forgiven! 🤬 me
