I understand we are 4 hours behind them, but we only have a small fraction of their votes to be counted. How were the ballots mailed to Juneau? 4th class by dogsled, waiting for enough snow? Rank choice = Stinky

Absolute bllsht these lazy fkers can't count a couple hundred voters per community and report in an accurate, timely manner. Yet another disadvantage of rank choice: it slows down and convolutes the process of democracy. A single vote from a single voter is the only constitutionally legal form of voting. The Division of Elections will post updated counts on Nov. 13, Nov. 15 and Nov. 20. The Division of Elections plans to calculate the winners of the ranked choice election on the 15th day after Election Day, Nov. 20, once all ballots are counted. This is necessary to determine the winners of races where no candidate got more than 50% of the first-choice vote — it’s like an automatic runoff election. The results will remain unofficial until they’re certified by the State Review Board. The target date for certification is Nov. 30."

AKislander Campfire Member A Joined: Nov 2023 Posts: 375 Likes: 27 SE Alaska	While no announcement of results from the division of elections have been made, they did release the raw data and it looks good. https://mustreadalaska.com/raw-data...begich-will-win-in-after-ballots-ranked/ Ranked-choice voting doesn't apply to Ballot measure #2 and the results so far are looking good, but there's still absentee and mail-in ballots to be counted which is concerning.
