A couple of 52 Winchester , pre A , C , and a D
All beautiful rifles , C and D had the Canjar triggers
D had the prettiest curly maple stock I ever seen
On bottom of forearm was a picture perfect painted El Vira
A Smith and Wesson 5” 27
Given to me by a very special lady , a red head with a Killer body
I gave the Smith to my nephew and I know he appreciates the quality
Action had been worked by a very good pistol smith
Slickest double action I ever fired
Winchester M1 Garand that got a very high rating by that fellow that was considered the top Garand guru , can’t remember his name , memory ain’t worth [bleep] anymore
He was impressed with the rifle
Gave that one to my nephew too
A Galil in 308 , Was the first weapon I ever owned with glow in the dark sights , Tritanium or something like that
This was probably 40-45 yrs ago
Was a shooter and reliable
Think I traded it for an Olympic Arms Ultra Match
That thing was an absolute tack driver
A 95 Argintino 7.65 I think was the caliber , beautiful rifle , scoped with B&L
Not sure about my spelling there
Bought it at a small gun shop in Manassas along a street we were wrecking out a line on
Excellent shooter but ammo 45 yrs ago was only available through Norma , a bit pricey in those days
Hell , lots of others but worth a trip down memory lane , what’s left of it

I sold a 1939 Model 70 220 Swift and 2.5 Lyman Alaskan in Stith mounts (along with many others) to pay a divorce attorney. I miss that damn rifle but the divorce was worth every penny.

The Bulldog I bought new shot sideways. It's a paper weight now.
My 240 grain lead semi wad cutters landed like mortars on that B13 target we used to use to qualify with. It was a nice shooting revolver. I don't know what the hell was in my head. I suspect sawdust.

Stainless model 700 ks in 280 rem. It didn't like the heavier bullets I wanted to shoot so I sold it.

I should have kept it and just ran the bullets it liked.

A stainless enhanced gold cup, a 5” 629 classic, a ruger #1 300 win are guns I’ve parted with I wish I had back. I did replace the 629 with a newer version with a Hillary hole, but still wish I had the original. I have a half dozen other 1911’s now, still wish that gold cup was here. Multiple other hunting rifles also but the #1 was an accurate gun and very pretty. Life goes that way I guess.

May be prepping for a lot more of such feelings - looks like finally time to off-load some nice things. Hope they go to appreciative folks and I can make a buck here and there. About the only consolations when in such retrospect.

Regrets on the 57 would cause depression in some

6 1/2 inch flat top 44 Mag.
13076 as I remember.

That revolver went many a mile together!
No firearms allowed in dorm rooms . . .
SO . . .
They kept it in the Administration Office safe for me and I would just go get it anytime I planned to go shooting.
Those were different times!

My girlfriend in senior year college. She adored me but I didnt have the chemistry other than the sperm injections in her hot bod. Her dad had a 10,000 acre ranch in the Wallowa mountains of Oregon for hunting elk n mulie and was one of the top ag kings of Oregon/ Washington. Walchli farms. The dad only had one daughter. Actually I dont regret it cause had a wild life and made my own money. But as far a firearms go...my Ruger Blacktop collection from bearcats to the 44 mags and the 44 mag carbines. And a bunch of other guns!

Thought I'd bring this up again for holiday action.
