I sold a 1939 Model 70 220 Swift and 2.5 Lyman Alaskan in Stith mounts (along with many others) to pay a divorce attorney. I miss that damn rifle but the divorce was worth every penny.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

A Charter Arms 3" Bulldog my dad bought for me while I was in the Army in 1976. I bought a Savage bull barrel .22. It has not been out of the gun safe in 15 years.
kwg The Bulldog I bought new shot sideways. It's a paper weight now. My 240 grain lead semi wad cutters landed like mortars on that B13 target we used to use to qualify with. It was a nice shooting revolver. I don't know what the hell was in my head. I suspect sawdust. kwg

Stainless model 700 ks in 280 rem. It didn't like the heavier bullets I wanted to shoot so I sold it.
I should have kept it and just ran the bullets it liked.

A stainless enhanced gold cup, a 5” 629 classic, a ruger #1 300 win are guns I’ve parted with I wish I had back. I did replace the 629 with a newer version with a Hillary hole, but still wish I had the original. I have a half dozen other 1911’s now, still wish that gold cup was here. Multiple other hunting rifles also but the #1 was an accurate gun and very pretty. Life goes that way I guess.

May be prepping for a lot more of such feelings - looks like finally time to off-load some nice things. Hope they go to appreciative folks and I can make a buck here and there. About the only consolations when in such retrospect.

6 1/2 inch flat top 44 Mag. 13076 as I remember.
That revolver went many a mile together! No firearms allowed in dorm rooms . . . SO . . . They kept it in the Administration Office safe for me and I would just go get it anytime I planned to go shooting. Those were different times!

My girlfriend in senior year college. She adored me but I didnt have the chemistry other than the sperm injections in her hot bod. Her dad had a 10,000 acre ranch in the Wallowa mountains of Oregon for hunting elk n mulie and was one of the top ag kings of Oregon/ Washington. Walchli farms. The dad only had one daughter. Actually I dont regret it cause had a wild life and made my own money. But as far a firearms go...my Ruger Blacktop collection from bearcats to the 44 mags and the 44 mag carbines. And a bunch of other guns!

Thought I'd bring this up again for holiday action.
