I’m not a reloader, and use factory rounds in all of my hunting. Has anyone taken a look at Nosler’s new Whitetail Country ammunition? The cross section of the bullet looks exactly like an Accubond without the plastic tip. I wonder if that’s a clue as to its performance. I picked some up, along with some other boxes, to find a load my new Featherweight likes. Both this new load, and the ELD-X, group at just under an inch. I’ll be trying the Nosler next week in VA for my first whitetail hunt.

DON’T BE TOO PROUD OF THIS TECHNOLOGICAL TERROR YOU’VE CONSTRUCTED. THE ABILITY TO DESTROY A PLANET IS INSIGNIFICANT NEXT TO THE POWER OF THE FORCE.

Don’t overthink this. Make a good shot and you’ll be fine. Deer are easy to kill with almost anything if the placement is good. Get some practice in if time permits, dryfire if that’s all you can manage.

Everyone is wising up that you don’t need an ultra premium bullet to kill a deer.
Good luck on your hunt

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

No I assumed they were Sierra's answer to the ELDM and ELDX. Both open quickly and make fragments leaving a medium sized twisted chunk of bullet.

The Gamechanger uses old school technology, a thick jacket and a harder core, to retain weight and penetrate without partitions or bonded cores. I've used it in .270 to take several animals. Good expansion and so far, always an exit.

I’ll stick with my ELDM’s. I prefer a bullet that sheds weight and dumps energy into the animal over one that retains weight and punches deep, or exits with much of its energy remaining.
Browning A5 sweet 16, Maxus 12ga, and X bolt, 6.5PRC #269 Schwacker, 650gr total weight, 30%FOC Ugly Stick Ultralight and spiderwire 6lb stealth braid for everything.

Energy “dump” is irrelevant. The bullet kills by penetrating to the vitals and damaging them. It doesn’t kill by energy transfer.

I wonder if the energy-transfer notion came about because many of the same bullets that don’t exit are the same ones that really wreck vitals.
Now with even more aplomb

Good luck on your hunt "Ultra Premium" can mean a lot of different things to different people.

My grandkids will be killing deer with them. I have some 150gr .308 NPs that cost $8 per 50 from Graf’s.
