My daughter loves knives and I am thinking about getting the mini Hera for Christmas. It will be her first automatic. Faith and love of others knows no mileage nor bounds. My wife can't manipulate any of my MicroTech OTF knives. This is an important consideration with any OTF. I have some OTFs (not Mictotech) that I don't even think about opening. But my GF and one daughter can't open without two hands. My other daughter can click them open and closed but I can see she is struggling a little too much. I would recommend an OTS. Anyone can press a button and a knife should easily deploy when needed. Who cares if you need two hands to close it later.
