There’s a lot I don’t know about California.
Can’t legally carry a handgun there, I know that.

Birdie, who can't legally carry a handgun there?

Well, he's right about himself, and other non-residents.

There are endless problems there. During the boom years of logging, there were three huge mills and many small mills, full employment..I don't know who made the decisions, but every stick of timber on that rez , 82,000 acres of prime old growth worth millions of 1950's dollars was sold...where did the money go? I frequently drive right through the rez from Orleans to Orick on the Bald Hills Road...there is not a living thing to be seen on the rez land, no deer, no elk, no bear...as soon as you get off rez ground, magically you see animals. Who poaches the animals I wonder? Not much different for fishing...crossing the Martins Ferry bridge shown in the video...you can see up and down river for a half mile...I have seen untended gill nets with captured salmon rotting in the net because no one was tending the net. Sam's old man was talking about being trapped on the rez...nobody is trapped there, that is a cop out. It is a minimum 2 hour trip to any real job...very few are interested. You have to be motivated to leave, there is no motivation. The casino is not on any main traveled route and is a financial failure basically. Tribal power cliques run the tribal administration..hiring relatives, friends, nepotism split the federal grants. Some talk on the video about friendly people, well maybe, most are...but if you get sideways over nothing with the young bloods, watch it...the river devil, the pud-o-wan, tells no tales, people disappear. I logged down on the north boundary in the 60's during the beginnings of the American Indian Movement..a tense season, never again.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I was warned when applying for a job with the fisheries dept that if the power changed hands at the next tribal election, I'd likely be looking for another job. Tribal politics are just like any other.....................they suck.

And a lot of the "Natives" are whiter than me but they still qualify as "tribal". The casinos don't like to hire the white man. Salmon fishing on the Klamath can be hazardous, and it's not the water.

The DIMocRAT cheat machine took a hit during this election season. More people, working people, are paying attention and getting out to vote. It’s the only way to dent and hopefully break their stranglehold on the massive unelected bloated bureaucracy that is strangling the blue states and the entire federal system. The next problem which is already rearing it’s ugly head is marxists are fleeing the blue states and their stupid laws and taxes and infesting the red states - and they bring their d*** politics with them.

I was referring to myself, riding a bicycle to big tree country is on my bucket list, Google says Eureka lies 2,300 miles from my front door. Three long distance bicycle trips here, I stop where I run out of daylight, lots of empty space out there. I’d be legal to carry all the way to the CA state line, after that unloaded and locked in a case IF my bicycle were considered a “vehicle”, besides that I dunno if me sleeping out by the side of the highway would be considered my “campsite”. From what I gather too I couldn’t buy ammo there either, a minor consideration, recreational shooting ain’t high on the itinerary.

My biggest fear riding through Yellowstone was bears, for a full thirty miles east of the park boundary the Shoshone (??) NF campgrounds were marked “hard side only” ( meaning no tents), that AFTER I cleared Sylvan Pass. Fortunately after that it was literally all downhill with a tailwind most of the way to Casper. If a grizz HAD showed up I was packing my mighty Ruger LCP
