Are they cold sensitive? Can I leave it in the car in cold weather and expect it to work? What are your experiences with them?

I keep one in my truck year round, but we don't get all that cold. Low 20's every once in a while. I love my Noco as it has saved my ass several times. The damn thing surprises me how good it works.
I hated the little draw string bag that it came with. Sounds dumb, but it sucked bad enough, I looked around and they sell a case for it for $20 that was well worth it.

I live in warmer weather than you do, so experience is different.
I was in nodak a few weeks ago, lows in the upper 20's. Mine hadn't been charged in several months and it jumped a diesel f250 on first turnover.

Cool, thanks...
Been in the low 20s overnight here since Sunday. Looks like that for a while.
Good stuff to know....

Summer heat effects them more than cold. Store under your seat. The manual lists the best temperature range. I can't remember off hand.

Just leave it plugged in in the truck. I start cold blooded diesel tractors with it all the time

Good to hear I'm not the only one that hates that bag. Pretty lame they give you a bag that won't stay closed. You could probably find one of those spherical draw string clamp things for it and save some bucks. Honestly, it was $20 well spent though. Told a few buddies about it that I had already told about the Noco. They both agreed and bought the case.

If you follow that amazon link to the bottom of the page they have one for $13 that probably works as good. But anything is better than that stupid bag.

Northern New Yorker here, keep mine in the truck year round. Charge it up before winter and again in the spring. Has always done the job and always shows a full charge.
i bought the 1000 amp model. i would buy the 1250 amp if i ever need to replace it

Are they cold sensitive? Can I leave it in the car in cold weather and expect it to work? What are your experiences with them? You can indeed leave it in the car and it will work. After 6 months of no use, mine was still over 90% charged, and that is enough to start at least four cars. Although I have not used mine on a big truck diesel engine, at -5F it easily starts a car diesel engine. And, I agree with the comments about the crappy bag the unit comes with. I put mine in an old neoprene computer sleeve. Also, the NOCO boost starters are polarity protected whereas most cheap ones are not. I had one of the cheap ones and a friend borrowed it and hooked it up backwards. Instantly fried! The NOCO won't do this. /John

I love my NOCO. It’s rated to somewhere around an 8 liter diesel. Have used it several times to help folks out and they were amazed how easy it was to use.

Not sure if the engineering is even possible, but if it is...
I am expecting (Makita or Milwaukee first)... To introduce as Jump Pack using 2x 18v batteries... sometime.
It will be a very popular addition.

I've had one for 3+ yrs and keep in the pole barn. Charge it up maybe once a year depending on use. No problem starting small diesel tractors, cars, trucks, atvs, etc.
