A friend just got a new Grenadier and I took it for a spin around the block. Interesting vehicle in-line 6 cylinder. No carpet....all rubberized floor mat. Flat glass throughout. Some of the lights can be aimed from within. Switches galore for any lights, or add-ons. Roomy. sturdy roof and racks. 6K towing capacity. Interesting vehicle but I don't care to be the first kid on the block with one. Time will tell!

It looks like a Bronco II and costs more than a tricked out 3/4 ton.

Way larger than a Bronco Big rig!
Huntsman. I had never heard of em either. As I hear it: A new large SUV trekking vehicle that resembles the large old Land Cruisers. Designed by BMW engineers and made in Britain. Supposedly for 3rd world country travel. Somewhat utilitarian.

Very similar in looks & size as a Land Rover Defender. Or is it a Defender.? Ineos is in the UK.

Very cool truck.
Not sure I’d be interested though. Seems kinda big and heavy to be a good trail rig and gets out classed on hauling by most every truck.
It’s still bad azz.

Looks like a Defender 110
Been a couple of yrs, initially were supposed to be kinda reasonable in price. Maybe just marketing hype. Haven't seen one in person yet.
Supposedly world sourced and assembled in France. I thought about one, based on initial price. But a couple of yrs to get em out and they're way more now.
Could be a PITA if anything takes a dump on one.
Heck my BILs Rover w HP V8 just crapped out and it's gonna be a nightmare.
First run, overseas build, or limited edition engines/transmissions.........just asking for hassle.

The very best I can think of for a utilitarian SUV type would have to be a Scout II. A later one, 78 or 9. That would add the Dana 44 front axle to match the rear, & have disc brakes on the front.
Of course, keep the standard interior with steel door panels, heavy vinyl seat & rubber floor covering. P/s would be acceptable along with a decent, non TV type BS stereo. No more gadgets inside.
Now, a 258 inline 6. Throttle body if forced to, but nothing else. Back it with a simple 5 sp. manual thats OD in 5th. Posi trac and 4.11s. Stop.
This to me is utilitarian. Very, very few vehicles have been utilitarian since then.

I have seen several down here. My kids point them out. Supposedly about $100k.
The ones that I have seen have had soccer moms that wanted to be different driving them.
