CZ BRNO Fullstock Rifle 7X57~SOLD~
Relatively scarce these rifles sometimes call model 21F are well known to custom gunmakers for their high-quality Mauser type actions. Not a true Model 98 but very similar Small Ring size Mauser action without the thumb cut and with dovetailed receiver for scope mounting.
I bought this for a magazine article (Sports Afield July/Aug 2024) and am now selling the rifle. I did not shoot it but researched them and reported much interesting info.
The rifle is in excellent used condition. The stock has several small dings, dents and scratches but no chips, splits or breaks. The metal is in excellent used condition with the majority of the original bluing intact.
The bore of the 20" barrel is clean and bright with excellent rifling. The action operates as it should with very smooth bolt travel.
Two alteration have been made: The double-set trigger has been replaced with a single trigger, nicely adjusted and correctly mounted in the middle of the guard bow. A recoil pad has been added. Many American shooters prefer a single-trigger as I do and the pad slightly increases the length of pull to 13-3/4" and make the mild 7x57 an even milder shooting. The rifle weighs 6lb . ~~This is a Very Nice Rifle~~

I've been a fan since the days of Small Caliber News.

I would have loved to own the Hughes-Martini 1885 (not pictured) but at the time did not have the scratch.

ya!

SDH, I would not presume to tell you of all people anything about rifles..but a well known fellow gun maker by the name of Reto Beuhler told me mine, a 21H circa 1956 was a factory installed single trigger.

You're supposed to say, "If I didn't have 27 of those already I'd be all over that!"

LOL

Ha. I would have said that a few months ago, but I lost all 27 of them in a canoe accident recently.
