That's one beautiful rifle GSP Fan.

I have a weakness for quarter bore rifles.
Always keep a few around.
I've had a 250 Savage and 257 Bob for the last 25+ years.
Both in 700 Classics. Had to many others to count through the years.
Just finished loading up some 117gr Sierra's for a 250 A.I. that I purchased from a campfire member a couple years ago. It's going to the woods for antlerless season this weekend coming.

Hope yours shoots as good as it looks !

Thanks Torqued. It does shoot as good as it looks. I favor the 100gr SGK but it will shoot the 115gr NBT very well but I do have to seat the bullets deep due the the short magazine box.
I had a 700 Classic in both 250 & 300 Savage and they shot very well. I'm a fan of the quarter bore as well and have a 257 Roberts built on a 1909 Argentine Mauser action and a Browning B78 (I had my gunsmith give it some TLC and it came out great) in 25-06.
I just came up with a couple of boxes of the Barnes 80gr TTSX that I want to try in the 250. It won't be this season as it's to dam cold for load development.
Good luck with the deer. We have a second rifle season that opens Friday and rolls on to a late doe season to January 12 so I have lots of time to bloody the 250.

My 8 year old Grandson took his first deer this week with a Mod 20, irons, 87 grn Speer, 50 yrds. Excellent shot, she went about 35 yrds. recovered the bullet in off-side shoulder, beautiful mushroom. Right now, for him, it`s the best rifle in the world. He was pumped..

The gun library is dangerous. In '04, I saw a .250-3000 tag on a rifle. Turned out to be a Dakota 76 Alpine. Wasn't the screaming deal Ricco got but, when I emailed Dakota, it would have cost $6k to duplicate it. It's a dandy and partners with a 99 Savage that was my grandfather's and a 700 Classic. Love the .250.

Since the conversation turned generally all rifles 250, I'll add one I've had for a few years and never fired.

If that was intended for me, I doubt very much this will ever leave it's guncase in the safe. Even a minor dent would be a big detractor on a rifle of this quality. It's a safe queen as long as I own it.

I have had the safe queens in both rifles and shotguns. I bought a "safe queen" Dakota M10 from a member here a year ago. I have hunted with it but I am careful with it.

That 99 is a beaut. Have 2, Savage 14 and shortened Argy mauser Gaudy stock.
