Looking for some new glass for the wife's vanguard in .270. really she just plinks with cast bullets under 200yd max so don't need to be the most rugged navy seal approved whatever .Would like to stay under $200 , side adjustment parallax, and really something that looks like it belongs in the rifle. No super tactical whatever. No Leupold. Exposed turrets would be a plus but not a need

Suggestions?
Thanks

I just put one of these on a Tikkka T3x .223. It's working well so far.

Athlon or Hawke is probably your best bet. Burris is usually a sure bet, but I just got a label from their customer service to send one back so I’m currently annoyed with them…haha

Not trying to be mean here, but your wife might wanna wax that lip.😉

Joking aside, I have one of these on my 6x45 and it is pretty much everything you asked for -price, appearance, side parallax adjustment, decent clarity.

If you can find a Bushnell 3200 with the Ballistic Reticle, jump on it! We've run these for over a decade and are great for close or long shots and at last light.

I also think that Bushnell 3200s are a good scope if you can find one.

Athlon reticles look interesting.

Burris is the only one I have experience with that mostly fits your description, but AFIK, they lack the exposed turrets. Maybe one of the Arken or Athlons might come close. $200 isn’t much, I’m afraid.

If they ever make it back, one of the 6x SWFAs would work well, or a 10x, but they cost more than $200.

Call Doug at CameraLand. He’ll do his best to help.
