Morning my friend, I hope all is well with you and your fine family this morning, barring the igloo situation of course.

We're having a reasonably average Okanagan winter so far, so the snow level on the mountain behind the house is "about right" for the end of deer season and the start of coyote and hopefully wolf calling season.

While I'm cognizant you and kolofardos know these tidbits, for anyone interested, I'll throw out a few stats - for sure though they're colored by my opinions as per normal.

If RMiller2 meant we'd be red in that we'd vote left/socialist/NDP/Communist, since red and orange are the Liberal and NDP colors up here - then that's likely correct.

The ether webs says there's 5.6 million now in BC, with over 3 million in the Lower Mainland, so between them and the strangeness that is Victoria, they'll elect the government, as has always been the case for the past 40 years.

Now I know there are true blue right of center folks living there and am proud to call some of them friends, kolofardos included, but statistically it's more right of center as we leave the Fraser delta, at least federally.

Outside of there historically in federal elections it goes to the right, though there are those union/NDP diehards who keep Jimmy Dhaliwal's party in business for reasons....

Hopefully it goes without saying they're silly reasons, which I cannot support, understand or even fathom most days, but still.

While I'd love a functional Bill of Rights so we might actually have the 1st and 2nd Amendments, I am not sure it'd be afforded us within my lifetime.

Regarding PM Shiny Pony, I can only say that he and many of his top people test my Christianity on a daily basis, though I am comforted by Psalm 109, verse 8.

"May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership" is from Psalm 109, verse 8.

There's another one somewhere about being crushed by rocks too I think, but once more I digress.

Seeing as I've passed my limit of digressing/heading into the rhubarb, I'll stop with a wish for you and everyone else here to have a decent winter as it does look like it's here.
