I now have three of these little scopes, two 4x28 and one 2-8x28 Banner compacts. The glass seems roughly equivalent to the Leupold 2-7x28 and 4x28 compact scopes. They are about as light and compact in their dimensions with only the turret caps being taller on the Bushnell. They hold zero and the adjustments seem to be about right on. Anyone else use these little scopes and why did they never catch on I wonder.

I have one B&L older BV scope on a custom Mauser in 30-06 Ackley. It has a Lee Dot and handles recoil from 200-220 gr Nosler Partitions well. Accurate rifle. Very close to a 318 Westley-Richards as to ballistics.
Bushnell scopes were OK-But.... I prefer the older fixed power Leupolds and the Leupold Alaskans. The M8 3X and 4X scopes were bombproof and held their zero. On 375 H&H and 338 pre-64 Model 70s. The early B%L were a quality glass scope with excellent optics like early Leupolds.
As long as they keep up their track record, no more scopes needed. I prefer stalking/still hunting for elk in CO-NM or caribou/moose in AK. Bears are always around, so small calibers don't cut it. Even have fixed Leupolds on a pre-64 M 70 in 35 Whelen and 338-06.

I have four Japan-mfg'd Bushnell Banner scopes, but "bigger" than your scopes: 4x-40mm, 6-18x AO, and two 1" straight-tubed 22 rimfire scopes. All with plex reticles. All have been flawless in operation for 25+ years. I have to admit, I always admire the image quality when using these scopes. Very bright. Very clear. Excellent resolution, right to the edge of the lens. They track true, and hold zero. There is a lot to like about these scopes.
Japan-made Bushnell Banner scopes are an overlooked scope option.
I also have a B&L (japan) fixed 4x. It is outstanding.

I love B&L scopes. The ones made in Japan during the 80’s and 90’s are very good hunting scopes. I wish people would not post about them.

+1 on those straight 1" tube 4X Bushnell Banner rimfire scopes. Purchased mine in 1995 and it's been flawless. Real good optics, have always held its zero although once it's zeroed I never touch the adjustments unless needed. If they were still available I'd buy another if I was in the market.
