Like him or not, he was grossly misunderstood and after a Steelhead stunt that should have gotten Steelhead booted, Flave went from fun and informative posts to sniping. Those that got sniped didn’t like it
You don’t know Flave, if you think he was ever bothered or affected by anyone or anything on the Campfire. What Steelhead did was in no way concerning Flave, he didn’t care for the post or lack of correction for Steelhead’s comments that were deserving of being banned… So, what was he trying to accomplish?

I have to say, I feel cheated about coming back here without Flave's presence. Had I known, I would have likely surrendered to the ICC rather than come back to Montana. Shrapnel said that he started doing what he did because of Steelhead--or, to be more precise, because of Rick Bin's failure to moderate Steelhead.

Ok, it’s my time and “ink” but I’ll ask: if Deflave/Travis was upset about something Steelhead posted and then went from being “funny” to “sniping”, what did any of those others he sniped have to do with Steelhead or what he posted?
This thread is like an article out of Vanity Fair.. It doesn't. The whole thing is nothing more than 24hourcampfire became a target, not for lack of moderation, but for lack of taking out the trash. Flave morphed from shooter to shootist and there are many and continue to be too many worthless posts and even more worthloess people and it isn't getting better. To try to rationalize a particular person and what he does, is out of the realm of most Campfire members. You have to recognize that one post by flave would be loved by some and hated by others. What is the crux of all this is when Rick didn't care, Flave abandoned what had already been screwed up by 10's of thousands of posts about nothing that brought most of the people here 15-20 years ago... Well, that’s kind of like real life then..must make being any kind of a productive citizen a real challenge. He was undeservedly nasty toward some posters.

Flave is a national treasure.
His covid threads were 100% spot on and he knew who the bullsh iters were. His Trump support was spot on as well, leading up to the 2016 election. When everyone else was unsure and figured he could never be elected, Flave backed Trump 100% and got flamed for it. He has an uncanny ability about being right on stuff like that.
