SKane and Whelen nut congratulations! Glad the whelen got to shoot game. I have a 358 Winchester JES'ED from a 308. Looking to do a 9.3x62 JES'EDon an 06. But I don't seem to get targets the size you guys get. Four points on one side is all it takes. Large racks? Not in my hunting area. The Amish neighbors kill em before they get that large. And take care Whelen Nut. RZ.

Hey there RZ, My 7600 carbine in 358Win got out of the safe for my Michigan hunt this year, also. Took an 8ptr with it, although much smaller than the KS buck. Not many big bucks in the part of MI where I hunt. Hope all is well with you. WN

Hey Raeford, I especially like the ride along Thanks to Scott who usually puts one in my lap every year even though it gets harder each year keeping up with him. It's what keeps me going along for the ride!

WN- don't sell yourself short. You two are my heroes. Exactly, If WN can pop a nice one in Michigan too, I've hunted Michigan and that tells me that those two have got this deer hunting thing figured out better than most of us. Nothing more to be said about the great write up again this year other than that Scott shot that one in the back! Kansas is a far piece away from eastern WI. and I'm sure that a few of us are wondering how Scott and his dad hooked up with that hunting opportunity over there?

Congratulations to you and your father Scott, another great adventure!
Not many whitetail hunts I’d consider but something like this with similar potential and excitement could get me thinking.

Great bucks and hunt.
Have to ask, what are those "balls" on the ground in the second post, third picture down?

Have to ask, what are those "balls" on the ground in the second post, third picture down? They're hedge apples from the Osage Orange tree. About all they're good for is decor and growing more Osage Orange trees. Not edible but I've heard of folks roasting the seeds and eating those.

WN good to hear you are still dropping bucks, with .358 bullets yet! And Gunswizard says they are a short range proposition. HA! Take care WN. RZ.
