In all of my time looking for LH rifles, I've only seen one LH Ruger African in 416. It sold two days ago on GunBroker for $1,425. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1080179351Until I saw this one, I didn't know they existed. But it appears they made some in 2015 as a model 47152.

Seems like someone over on the Accurate Reloading forum was making a LH Alaskan version with a barrel swap from a RH

Is there enough meat on the barrel to rebore a 375 Ruger to 416 Ruger?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Is there enough meat on the barrel to rebore a 375 Ruger to 416 Ruger? Is there enough meat on the barrel to rebore a 375 Ruger to 416 Ruger? Somewhere in the 458 WM mother of all threads there was a mention of the same blank being used for 458 and 375 on the model 70’s. This would mean the 458 base model is lighter weight, all things being equal. I’m assuming they were discussing RH, but don’t see why Winchester would deviate from that program if they made any LH in 416 or 458. I’ve never seen any LH express other than 375 HH Mag. I’d love to have the same rifle in 458 WM. ETA: just realized you were talking about Rugers. I wonder if they wouldn’t do the same thing?

If you want to do some trading on a left hand Model 70 let me know. Thanks.

Swapped a Model 70 375 H&H barrel to a standard magnum Model 70 and had it bore to 458 WM. Functioned great, just never shot it. Can be done...

As Odonata pointed out, I have a left handed friend who used to post here that wanted a LH 416 Ruger . Ruger didn’t make them so he purchased a RH 416 and simply pulled and swapped barrels with a LH 375 and then sold the .375
