I've read the book, and know a farmer in the Paris TN are who owns land that was once owned by Jack Hinson. His story is very fascinating, and I'd encourage people to read the book.

The Land Between the Lakes....... I believe this is where the Hinson family was.
I have been at the approximate spot where Hinson was shooting , a long time ago. Long , long downhill shots.
I wish I would have studied the area more.

A good read! I recommend it to anyone interested in the CSA and sniping. He laid many of the northern aggressors low.
