I live on the S. Tx Gulf coast. The bull reds should start moving pretty soon, caught a number from 38 to 46 inches long in the surf. The sharks will follow as soon as the water temp gets into the 70's. As soon as the wind lies we'll start fishing for reds, drum and speckled trout in the Laguna Madre about .5 mile from my back door. Probably going in the morning. Start fishing real serious middle of March, especially in April and on thru summer and into Nov. Often times during the heat of summer, low to mid 90's fishing will slow down, but we go when we can. Its the outing that counts.
