Dad went out the other evening and popped a pair that had been getting regular on camera. I could hear the shots from my living room. 308/150s keeps getting it done. A few more new boars have shown up on cameras in the last few days. May have to make a few hunts this week...... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/gYhx9Ijl.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/rA2MOxOl.jpg)

A two-fer. .308 Win/150g Hornady Interlock. Ranch owner was able to catch it on video. We were heading to the blind and really were not expecting to see pigs at the feeder. Rookie Mistake. He kept the SXS going and I hopped out and grabbed my rifle and eased it outta the case. Was surprised they stuck around. I saw the second pig but didn't really think it was in any danger. I don't usually get exits with the 150g Hornady. Thankfully it all worked out. https://youtube.com/shorts/-BHG4X0vJ38?feature=share![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/0ykQmxQ3/IMG-9704.png)

We've been after this guy for a few weeks, as it seems like we mainly have roaming boars on our place at the moment. I managed to slip out there last night and sit for a bit. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/AQd2ex0h.jpg) He walked all the way up the lane from the creek bottom below me and then darted off into the brush before reaching the deer, so I wound up rear-lunging him via .308/150gr on his way out. He took the main game trail through the briar thicket and my thermal scanner helped me pick him up after he left the trail for his death loop. Seems like bigger pigs often stick to the beat-out trails after being hit, until they finally realize they are hit, right before they conk out. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/Hz5O5kfl.jpg) Went back in this AM with the Yamaha to push my way in there and drag him out. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/IKfKdoBl.jpg) Had another good boar in there last night too, and could hear him cutting up not far behind me, but he never showed. He'll mess up one evening and come snooping.

Pretty coat. They come in all sorts of colors and patterns.

I'm admittedly a novice, but I stepped in with a Browning Low Wall .22 Hornet last month in Texas. One 40gr. Vmax to the noggin' at 140 yards. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/8MhxGa7l.jpg)

I just smacked a trifecta yesterday. It was the opening weekend of our spring turkey season and I drove down Saturday to my deer lease, getting in late afternoon.
Yesterday, I awoke at 3:30 and couldn't fall back to sleep, so I made some coffee and breakfast and then headed out to my blind at 4:30 to sit with the thermal for an hour or two for a pig, before I moved to my turkey hunting spot. As I walked to my blind, I saw a medium sized boar under the feeder, so I wasted no time and popped him.
Still being early, I headed to another blind, closer to my turkey hunting spot. While sitting there, right before daybreak, I see a coyote stalking through the pasture and popped him.
I then headed to my turkey hunting spot, but despite my best efforts, only called in a hen.
In the afternoon, I went back out and called in 4 jakes. Not wanting to miss the opportunity for a trifecta, I popped the bigger one.
A pig, coyote and turkey all in the same day. Life is good!

That's indeed a good day. I was listening to a bunch of turkey action the other evening while hog hunting. Always entertaining.

This guy is on our short list at the moment. Has given me the slip twice in the last week or so. Maybe Dad or I can cross paths with him sometime soon..... ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/JH9bEcgh.jpg)
