A week without fresh pig pics? Can't be having that. A gullywasher rolled in last night with a 5 inch downpour. Caught everything offguard, including the pigs. (Same camera, a few hours apart) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/CY9rXhqh.jpg) Dad was on his porch again, as the power was out, so he sat up with his thermal scanner. Managed to hit this guy with the .308/Thermion 640 at 230yds but had to wait for the creek to go down to go take a look. He was still glowing out there in the woods. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/yDF5wash.jpg)

Great pics! Our place is under 7 feet of water now. Very little hog sign in the past several weeks.

Gunnut308, I don’t doubt it. Arkansas has really caught the rain as of late.

GWB, a 7AM hog is a lot better to work with than a 2AM hog, for sure.

![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/sgMVV3fy/thumbnail-7.jpg) A new group of pigs showed up this morning. I'm gonna have to get my 7 year old Grandson to camp. He told me he wants to shoot a pig. It would be his first. I told him when he can make a head shot with the 22 Mag we'll go get one. He's been practicing. He's ready. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/pd85LfV2/thumbnail-8.jpg) Got a few shooters this morning at another spot too. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/FK86vQWf/thumbnail-18.jpg)

Engle Boar.Turkey.4.10.25 May have to stop by my brother's place near Engle, Tx on the way to my lease and perforate this guy. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/htFfVsgd/Screen-Shot-2025-04-06-at-8-36-19-PM.png) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/3rcyx7c9/Screen-Shot-2025-04-06-at-8-36-10-PM.png) ya, GWB Update.......... Did stop at my brother's place. Stayed Wednesday eve through this AM. Wednesday eve got a turkey. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/DyLqQdQw/Screen-Shot-2025-04-11-at-3-54-18-PM.png) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/4yh3gP47/Screen-Shot-2025-04-11-at-3-46-32-PM.png) Later that night I got a shot at the boar pictured above. He was moving and quartering away from me which presented me with a shot on his right side. I chose not to do a Texas heart shot. I fired and heard him squeal but did not her a solid whop as is typically heard when shooting suppressed, making a good hit. The boar bolted and reached the scrum before I could get a second shot. Bummer. Looked for blood the next morning where I thought he might have entered the woods. No Blood. Thursday I messed around all day. Thursday eve I set back up to see what might go bump in the night. Sure enough, about 9 PM I was scanning and saw the boar again. This time I got a good broadside shot and perforated him perfectly. Drop and Flop. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/rydGsLKW/Screen-Shot-2025-04-11-at-3-56-41-PM.png) When I went to snag him, I noticed what at first looked like a scar. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/BZcFXQJj/Screen-Shot-2025-04-11-at-3-56-56-PM.png) Turns out after a second look, my shot the night before had left a long groove along his right side hide deep. That was what had elicited his squeal that night. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/cJy1Rwm0/Screen-Shot-2025-04-11-at-10-22-09-PM.png) Anywho, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ya, GWB

Well, if the stars align, I am going to head by to my brother's place at Engle, Tx. Wednesday afternoon and set up for this guy. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/VNBv3vCC/Screen-Shot-2025-04-15-at-12-14-50-AM.png) ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/cJN69wrW/Screen-Shot-2025-04-15-at-12-14-39-AM.png) . ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/cLPkV4S0/Screen-Shot-2025-04-15-at-12-14-28-AM.png) Get there just before dark and set up about 120 ydsl distance where he won't get my wind. ya, GWB

I was out baiting a few hog spots this morning and met Pop on the road as he was headed to the dump hole. He tagged this guy last night at 350yds and recovered him this morning. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/iAKuaeuh.jpg) Some pigs were getting hung up in his field at 350-400yds, so I stopped by yesterday and we swapped the reticle in his AGM Spectrum 4K LRF to a mil-dot so he could look at a JBM printout and have some holdover aiming points. 150gr .308 SST got him from the R-25 GII. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/XXcgER6l.jpg) (crooked cell phone screen grab) Impact was supposed to be 2-3" under the 1st Mil-Bar at 350yds with the 200yd zero and that's pretty much where it hit. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/wPeATOxl.jpg) River is rising and pushing up more pigs onto us lately. I'm likely going after this trio this evening, not far behind the house. Maybe I can line up a pair, if they'll cooperate. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/naJK7j2h.jpg)

Just rolled back in from the woods. Sure thought I had the noggin of the back one lined up with the neck of the front one, but no! He's one lucky hoglet......LOL. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/M0bWiZNh.jpg) Front one not so lucky. Stuck another two in him after he hit the ground, as he was floppin'. ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/BvWR7zzh.jpg) Watching the video I noticed that the Spectrum 4k was still focused for the end of the lane where they first strolled across. Pigs were a bit fuzzy. Live and learn.....
