Absolutely love his shot placement! Right square in the shoulder … just how it should be.

I stick with forward and high when possible. Minimal shoulder lost and not as much neck as one would think.

I don't always have that option but when I do that's what I prefer.

I like a base of the neck shot if I want to put one down right there. But I haven't had one go more than 50 yards aiming just behind shoulder mid height with 140 gr AB's out of my 280AI.

Nice buck. I agree on the shoulder shot. I’m an old man and don’t need to be dragging a deer thru brush and or out of a steep ravine. That’s for youngsters. Edk

I had a Tasco World Class Plus 3-9x44 (not the same scope as the budget WC version) on my .30/06 for over 25 years and it never needed a rezero even after international flights. Moved it into an LR308 after that. Still holds zero and very clear optics. Great scope.

Congrats to your friend. Dang nice buck. Mass, length and just enough unique points to give him character.

All of ya'll tweaking about the Tasco scope and no one stressing about the Abolt rifle. You've been told for years by campfire experts how horrible they are.

Fantastic buck and taken with an old, boring .30'06! Congratulations.
