Stumbled upon something tasty.....
Went squirrel hunting and only shot one. Didn't feel like freezing one squirrel and may not go anymore this year. So, I cut it up and threw it in with the bacon I was cooking for breakfast. When the bacon was done, I pulled the meat off the bones and ate it.

Tasty and simple.

Sounds good! Maybe add some onion and bell pepper?

We use to cut it up in pieces and batter with flower and fry in iron skillet....make a gravy to pour over it. Home made biscuits. Make you slap your Mama!

first fight my bride and I had, some 30 years ago, was from her coming home after work and finding squirrel hair and 'stuff' in the kitchen sink. Ever since then, I clean 'em outside and eat them when she is not home. smile

My wife is the same way although she doesn't mind me eating it when she is around.

I consider it a sin to make squirrel nay other way! LOL
Flour, salt, pepper, quick fry, then oven until done. Side salad, and sweet potato. Oh so good.
I like to taste the meat I eat. Thtas all to much seasoning I simply do not like. Have fun and enjoy!
