Put a Christmas gift Ranger Point gold trigger in the '57 336 35 Rem that I gave to one of my sons a while back. The second part of that plot was to confiscate his blued trigger for this 30-30 project.

Got that blue trigger's sear squared, honed and matched up with my hammer today, and the trigger weight dropped from 5lbs 8 oz to just a bitty hair over 5lbs, with zero mush or creep. Proverbial glass rod trigger break. Good feel even for 5 lbs. A Wolf hammer spring will get the weight the rest of the way down where i want it.

A blue trigger is a sexy trigger.......

So I've gone steps further with this little rifle.

I put a one piece firing pin in it, and a reduced power hammer spring.

Talk about slicker than snot......

Trigger is now down to 3 pounds 8 ounces and this rifle has become my right hand companion. Six 170 grain Sierras in the tube and eight in the stock pack. Rack the lever and what can't be handled with that around here. The only thing I can think of to make it just a touch better would be a compact glossy 2x7.
