Cant understand why anyone would care if someone else put a scope on a muzzle loader.
I have great vision and all my rifles, including my muzzle loader have scopes.
But then again, I am not afraid to admit that I am a much better shot with a scope than irons

I have a Burris Droptine 3-9x40 on one of mine and a Sightron 1.5-6x42 on my other. Really like both.

Just picked up the Burris Fullfield II 2-7×35 ballistic plex that Spence offered in the classifieds here. It's going on a T/C Omega 50 cal.

I have a Nixon slugmaster on my Omega. I have 2 slugmasters. I'm very happy with them and you can still find them on ebay

I have a 2-7 Leupold SABR on my Omega. Works great! I wouldn't go more than 3-9 personally.

I have a leupold freedom on my omega, I just took it off to see if it's not holding zero or if the load I'm using doesn't work for my gun. I switched bullets and scopes at same time, don't have anymore of previous bullets

My cva came with a Konus 3x9x40 muzzleloader scope. I justed replaced it with a Leupold Ultimate Slam ML 3x9x40mm scope. Like how it is setup.

Years before I ran a straight 4X on a Knight inline. My eyes were 20/15 then so not needed. But dang if that didn't work. Worked so well it felt like cheating, so I got a Hawken. Heck that was 30 years ago LOL
Up close I like less mag, so if I was to equip an inline today, I'd proly go 1-5 or 2-7x. Would not bother me to run a straight 4X though.
My timber centerfires wear 2-7X.

Put a Leupold VX-Freedom 2-7x 33mm scope on the 50 cal. CVA Acura last summer. So far, so good; and no complaints. I leave it on 3 or 4x when hunting. Originally got it for something else, but didn't use it and it now seems to have found a home on the Acura.

I literally just finished mounting a Burris FF2 4.5-14x42 scope with adjustable objective and ballistic plex reticle on my CVA Accura MRX. I would’ve preferred a smaller scope, but it is what I had on hand and it fits pretty well. I will conquer out the drops on the ballistic plex beyond 100 once I get it sighted in.

Magnification is not legal here during the ML moose hunt.
This year it became hard to be consistent with irons, even with a aperture.
I mounted a red dot and found that to work quite well.
At the range I tried a 3 X magnifier behind the red dot and shot some decent groups out to 200 yards.
Legally I can't use the 3X during the ML hunt.
But it is legal to hunt with magnification for regular green tag hunt.
Goofy laws eh...
But the dot sight is a nice option on a ML.

150 dollar Leupold/Redfield 3-9x40 has taken a pounding for decades, 150gr loose 777 under 290gr Barnes TMZ's in T/C Omega 50 cal does not phase it.

Got a Burris 2-7×35 Ballistic Plex sitting here if anyone is in need. Was going to put it on an Omega....

Well since I consider my muzzleloader a short range rifle, lets say 100 - 125 yards, I have a Leupold 2.5X Ultralight scope.

FWIW, I've had a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9X32 rifle scope on my .54 Cal Thunderhawk for over 20 years. This is my main hunting rifle. It's still working as designed.
I think the main issue with rifle scopes on a muzzleloader is eye relief. I don't have any issues with my scope.
