What do you have? Good or bad about it? Sunlight vs light kit for archery test indoors? Do you see a difference between sunlight and light kit?
Looking for something simple but reliable. Don't need Bluetooth or such. I have a pencil and paper to record velocities.

I have a NIB Chrony and a lightly used Chrony, both with printers. $130 puts BOTH on your door step

Wow what a little twig like response. Throw an insult without answering his question. 🙄

Not seeing the need for a $600 chrono.
The Shooting Chrony was the unit that I had been using until it failed.

Pro Chrono is pretty good for fairly cheap, especially used. Love my Garmin these days.

Nothing wrong with owning "the best". But for me, the amount of use I would give one, a simple, inexpensive unit will do the job.

It won't be "the best" for long as someone will bring out another upgrade. But it is nice now.

I have a Pact model 1 with infrared skyscreens that is new and unused. Bought just over a year ago and then decided to save for a Garmin. I’ll take $100 shipped.

Find a used LRV1, they can’t hardly give them away.

I’ve owned at least 5 chronos over the last 40+ years, and the Doppler radar units are soooo easy to use.

My old Chrony finally died. I too like the Garmin, but $600 is way too much for a tool that I use maybe 3 or 4 times a year.

I've been checking local used markets. I see lots of Lab Radar and MagnetoSspeed - guys trying to sell to recoup their investments. But I think they're discovering that nobody wants to pay $300 for a used LR unit.

Caldwell had/has one intelligent unit - an optical pointed down at white plastic. This what I was doing with my Chrony 25 years ago. But I've read too many bad reviews on Caldwell's execution with this product - and they don't appear to have any Customer Service anymore.

I was surprised to see how quickly everyone walked away from Labradar. Yes, I can see that the Garmin unit is simpler to use...but DAMN! The Labradar is so easy to set up and get rolling that it just beats all hell out of setting up a 35P, and I ask myself "just how easy does it have to be?"

Check ebay, the Labradars are going for less than $300.

People are funny about technology, I guess. The first time I ever used a microwave oven was at my Navy A-School at NAS Memphis. I bought a refrigerated chilidog in the "gedunk" and stuck it in the microwave, and presto, it was hot within 45 seconds and I was totally amazed. I don't think it took three months before I'd stand in front of the microwave tapping my foot, muttering "come on already, you slowassed sonuvabitch!"

I WILL admit that had I waited another year before buying my Labradar, the Garmin unit would have been out and I probably would have gone that way, but I'll just stick with the obsolete Labradar.

Garmin buy a long shot! I have or had a Chrony, Pact and Magnetospeed and the Garmin beats them all by a long shot, Easier to use, good with rifle, pistol, bow or airgun. Works with muzzle brakes. Just used mine in my basement with one of my air guns. Small, light and simple to setup.

Draw backs-----you need a pen and pad----Big Deal!

Hip

P.S. Everyone is selling their Magnetosepeds and Labradars really cheap! If you don't wan't to spend much money, buy one or those,

Quick question. Upfront, I have the LabRadar unit (first model) and I'm happy with it.

On Amazon I see very cheap chronographs for $36 and $45. Says they measure from 5 to 6500 FPS. Has anyone tried one to see how it works? Just curious.

As an aside, I purchased a bore scope off Amazon for $40 almost 5 years ago. For the money, it's excellent and compares with units costing much more (I've tried them side by side). I mention this because I was surprised how well it works. Was wondering if the cheap chronographs might be the same?

Yes, I know you get what you pay for - but if $35 works, I wouldn't mind lending it out to others and wouldn't get upset when it comes back with a hole.
