I’m not exactly old yet but over the hill of 40. I don’t find getting in and out of packrafts all that difficult at all. If these guys buying corvettes in their 60s can get in and out of that a packraft will be easy day
Think it will be easier to use than my Kayaks or Stand up boards. Use it or loose it saw some kaykers this year in late 70,s been out all summer long all over AK.

Well, my Kokopelli XPD came today, seven days after I ordered it. It has a zipper for storing gear inside tubes, a pump, inflatable seat, and a removable fin for tracking. Lots of tie downs. The paddle and zipper were extra cost. The new XPD is 9# and a little wider lighter material.
It came in a huge box, and free shipping to Alaska! At 14 #, it is probably more of a car, plane, or wheeler boat.

I get the idea behind these pack rafts. But seriously, how can an adult fit inside one and fish and paddle? Wouldn’t you also need to be wearing chest waders when using one of these?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
In my inflatable Kayaks have rod holders mostly troll flys hands are free to paddle, can easily sit inside with legs straight, have a small bag under knees, going to have a small gear bag strapped behind me. Minimalist not out there all day, lots of lakes from the wheeler I want to fish. Or just jet boat up Knik and let the family float back. Lots of options. They are better than a float tube in my opinion.
