I picked one up at a gun show today. I have a couple Beeman R1's and RWS models in .177 and .20 but this is the first .25 caliber. I will need to get some pellets before I start shooting it. Anything I should know or be careful about? Thanks.

Keep the stock screws tight, and use a one piece scope mount. Fun with a rear peep site vs scope as well. I enjoyed the shot cycle with a tuned spring vice gas ram in mine.

I would get a sample pack or only one tin of each. Then shoot, shoot. Did I mention shoot? Just have fun. I cleaned two smaller bores yesterday just for giggles. Both were new to me and pigged out. But all my new guns were dirty when new. The thing came to mind as it seems, to me, the larger the bore the easier to clean! And perhaps I can then go longer between cleanings. Last but not least, I love to hear the smack of larger pellets on game. RZ.
