Anybody flown through CDG with firearms lately? Being told I'll have to claim luggage from Air France and recheck on Ethiopian. Final destination Banqui.

I've recently (October) flown through CDG without firearms and it is a cluster XXXX of note. I had 2 hours between flights and was assured that is enough time. Maybe if everyone at the airport was working, however, in the middle of the day there was only 20% (maybe) of the security and customs staff working. Literally was running to the connecting flight and was nearly the last to climb aboard.

CDG and Heathrow are the worst international airports to transit. Make sure you have more than ample time to deal with those idiots because it will not go smoothly.

I went through CDG to Cameroon with firearms without a problem but I'll admit that was in 2003. The airport was massively screwed up due to a worker's strike with the groundcrews but there were no issues with the firearms. Other than the French just being the French (very, very difficult people) I had no problems.
