I've done a fair bit of hunting on that island. Southern end is largely untouched.

Jim Rosenbruch (Mutts dad) had an absolutely amazing trophy room, the type with a zebra being taken down by a lion. Looks as though he turned it into a museum.

I did a boat hunt like that, Outfitter was based out of Wrangle, Alaska his name was Dinnis, I can't recall his last name.
The name of his vessel was, Bear Necessity.

I was able to take a nice black bear. Loads of fun.
