I joined the Yamaha Club today. Local dealer has the 2024 700 Grizzly SE on sale for $10,999 out the door. This model has the power steering, 2500 Warn Winch, and 27 inch mud tires. No plans to use it till spring and was a little concerned the warranty would run out before I used it so added the 4 year Yamaha extended warranty for another $720.
Owned plenty of wheelers since 1986, this will be my first Yamaha

I bet you will love it. My 2012(?) has been beat to hell and no issues. Only 3k miles though, they get up to 10k miles before they totally fall apart.....lol

Your version has the mud tires which I believe have a skinnier sidewall compared to the standard tires?

I wanted the standard tires for better shock absorption when hitting obstacles.

I have the same 4 wheeler, mine never came with a winch, that was another $1,000+...said no thanks, I had a new winch I bought several years ago so I put that on the grizzly, I also have a set of hand warmers to install. Love this machine, smooth, I can ride it all day, whereas my 2000 foreman is a hard ride.
Wasn't too sure about the color, but it was all they had left in stock for 2024.

Sweet pic! Perfect color for the conditions.

Good luck with it and keep all the tires on the ground!

An fyi... New old stock Grizzly 700 models popping up in the high 8k region. I've seen about a dozen. Probably at least 3k savings over new current.
2023 Kodiak 700's with EPS even less, mid 8k.

Thinking of picking up a new '23 Griz. My '07 700 has been a great bike, but it's seen plenty of hard use, replaced the stator, axle. Wife's '08 700 is still at 1K miles, a peach.
Decisions...

$8k for an 'old' new Griz is a helluva deal!

Just looked and I paid $12k for the '24.

Indeed! There was a time I used to question the prices of these machines, but not a day goes by when mine isn't in use. Always work around a farm and a quality atv sure makes things so much easier.

Heated grips and thumb warmer are mandatory.

No, I've hardly used it. It's parked in my garage with a weed sprayer tank on the rear rack....lol

Still using my beat up '11 Griz for rough work but haven't even used it yet this year. The heated cab of a SxS is an easy choice from now until about April!

OEM Yammy heated grips are tough to beat at about $100 through Partzilla, or the Kimpex kit is very nice and includes grips / thumb heater (with rheostat heat adjust!) that complete kit is about $100 through Amazon.

About 90 minutes of fiddling around to do a sanitary job, mostly just removing some small upper plastic. You'll wonder how you got along without them!

Anytime.

Hard to believe this bike is18 years old. Only 3,700 miles, still very marketable at this point.

My buddy had a grizz amd it was a beast. Had electric gremlins though.

Damn thing would start itself. All the time.

One night, after he left it in gear, it started it self and we heard a God awful noise. Ran up against a guests truck at camp. A brand new dodge. Ran up the passenger side and scraped every quarter panel.

Insurance paid. But he sold that thing "as is." I'd like to talk to the guy who bought it.

That is crazy, did he always leave the key on? One could maybe imagine the starter button possibility arcing, but the ignition would have to be 'on'....no doubt the fuel injection helped facilitate that.....

I don't think he had a key!

I bought a Kodiak myself, but I do have an older Grizzly in the garage. Great machines.

Main thing is overall frame size and height. Kodiak 700 is a midsize machine with the 700 engine shoehorned in. Mine’s pretty much the size of a Honda Rancher regarding length/width/footprint. Grizzly is a bigger machine.
